So you basically stay on the diet as a lifestyle change.
I
think it is a lifestyle change and I think it's personally my experience has
been that it's unfair to portray it as a cure and it's unfair to portray it as
something that...you cannot expect quick results. It took incredible dedication
on my part and I have not seen it require it anything less from anybody else.
It does require a lifestyle change. And that's not quickly made.
It
was very hard for me to change my diet. Within a few weeks and long before I
saw improvements in my skin, I felt so much better that I knew I would never go
back. It was like the opposite effect of food poisoning. When you get food
poisoning you don't have to talk yourself into not eating the thing that made
you really sick and it was the opposite effect for me when I was realizing this
new way of eating made me feel so much better, I knew I wasn't going back to my
old habits.
And
I had some deeply ingrained habits. I was not happy to change my diet. The
weekend I committed to changing my diet, I spent the weekend in bed mad and depressed
that I to change my diet for something that
had never given me a moment of pleasure in thirty years. And yet within a few
weeks, I felt so differently that I was telling people I would never go back.
